Hi guys i have aquestion regarding the 09 f15x Aquatrax, I am chasing a list of the fault codes and how to retrieve them from my ski eg bridge service plug and read fault flashers on dash?. There is nobody around here within 1000km so being mechanically minded I could easly replace parts when there is a fault. Need Help!!

i have worked on some of the aquatrax 15x at the shop, and to retrieve the fault codes is going to be difficult without the scanner tool from honda. There are some smaller shops that have the tool, but to properly see fault codes, and erase them you will need the scanner tool. This tool can also be used to make extra keys.
you say you have jumped the diagnostic plug, and you can see fault codes on screen, or you wanted a way to jump the plug to see codes? The problem is the scanner tool is what will show the fault codes and descriptions. Without the tool, you will not be able to reset the codes.
what is wrong with the jet ski? Do you have the FI light come on when running it? Important question: does the FI light start to flash before you start the ski or after you start?

So mate basically you are saying that you cannot get any fault codes from a ski unless you have a scanner tool from Honda.
If this is correct where can I buy one from?

that is correct, you can only get the fault codes from honda pwc dealer or repair facility. I need to talk with my dealer to let me know if honda will actually sell this tool to the public. Usually, the scanner tools and programs are not available to the public, so they are forced to bring their PWC or motorcycles to the dealer for service or repair. I will ask my shop on monday if honda does sell the scanner tool and program to the public.
the tool is actually a plug, that plugs the diagnostic port from the aquatrax to the USB port on a computer. Then, the real tool is the program that communicates the computer tothe jetski. At this time, you will see codes, probably diagnostic techniques, and a setting to erase the codes.
so does your FI light blink when you first turn on the ignition system, or after you start the ski? Maybe we can figure out the problem without taking you ski to the dealer.
When running your ski on the water flush kit, does your engine rev up all the way? Or is the engine speed limited at 1/3 throttle?
when was the last time you checked or replaced the battery?

Mate I am from Australia and surly i could get the required tools to plug into my ski if needed cause there is stuff all down here for us, so it is always a struggle to get anything looked at or fixed so I am basically chasing this tool/software so that if I have a problem I can quickly get it repaired as I am a tradesman myself I can do my own repairs, not like my sheila mate she has to drag her ski 1500km to the nearest reliable dealer to repair a oil fault.
So no, I do not have a fault with my ski yet, but i was chasing the list of fault codes for my ski and the required tools to dianose and repair, do you have a copy of the fault codes, or are they in the workshop manual which I have already ordered from ys meaning the USA?

the workshop manual will list yoru fault codes for the ski you have. For example, if you have an FI light come on, and you use the scanner equiptment, and you see a code 25. The scanner will explain a code 25 is "the fuel pump voltage is below threshold or absent. Check the red wire with black stripe and black wire at the fuel pump for battery voltage when you turn the ski on. Do you want to store the fault code, check for more fault codes and save this one, check more fault codes and erase this one, or erase the fault code and return the the main menu?"
this is exactly what your scanner equiptment will show you and say. So from here you check the fuel pump for correct voltage, and easily diagnose the problem. From here, your problem would either be a bad fuel pump, or a bad relay, or a bad fuse for the fuel pump circuit.
so i will check to see if the equiptment is available to order for provate use, or not. Remember you will also need a laptop to run the software, or a regular computer in your car hold to run the computer software.
so to answer your question, the service manual will tell you what fault code is what bad component, and so will teh computer software. From these two tools, you will easily be able to fix and repair any fault with your fuel injection system.
but, keep in mind a problem that is not wrong with the fuel injection system will not cause a fault code toshow. For example, if you have a clogged fuel injector, no code will show.
A clogged fuel pump will not show a code. A pinched fuel hose will not show a code..etc etc.

i apologize about the delay in our communication, but i wanted to be sure about my information before i confirmed it. I called honda USA, and talked with their dealer technical department. I left a message yesterday, and they returned the call today. They told me that the software and scanner tool is not for sale to the public, so the customer will be forced to bring their motorcycle, atv, or pwc to the dealer and let the dealer find the fault codes. They also told me the equiptment is quite expensive, and their single tool for diagnosing programmed fuel injection will work on all the newer style fuel injected powersports equiptment(atv, motorcycle, and pwc)
so, unfortunatley, you would not be able to buy this equiptment from the honda dealer for your personal use. You will have to take it into the shop, and at least pay them to display the fault codes. But when you get the service manual, you will be able to see what fault code represents which sensor, and the service manual will tell you how to check it and how to verify if it is good or bad.
i did find the scanner tool on http://www.ebay.com and there is somebody here in the USA selling the tool. It appears to come with all the equiptment and portablescanner tool. These kits are expensive, and they are probably soldto dealers from honda at cost for about $600-$700. So this price is cost, which is a price customers will never pay unless they are an employee at a honda dealer or know the managers or staff very well at their local dealer.

Hello Nick,
Could you please help me. I am located in Kazakhstan and we don't have Honda dealer here. When I started my Aquatrax it works perfect, but after five minutes of driving engine speed limited at 1/3 throttle and F1 start flashing.
When I stop and realize key on 1-2 minutes and start again I can drive 3-5 minutes and have the same fault.

I have a Honda Anquatrax F12 and after runing for 10 min. the F1 light flashes and buzzer sounds,can shut off and restart,and run and happens again,then sometimes will not happen at all ,can someone help
