this happens mostly on the wash cycle. i have replaced the water level control switch.
it happens often now, mostly on the first fill, but not on the rinse cycle.

did it do this before you replaced the water level switch.

yes, that is why i replaced it, because a freind of mine had the same problem and that fix it.

you need to replace the water pressure hose from the side of the tub to the water level switch , somewhere its sucking air and no shutting off on the switch , the part number is 353244and it cost $11.48

why does this happen only on the first fill never on the rinse cycle and when t it starts to over fill, if move the dial to the rinse mode, it complete the wash without over filling, and then most of the time you can start the wash over again with an over fill.

so if you move the timer the water shuts off and if you put it back on 1st wash then it wont over fill.

if you turn the timer to the spin cycle, let the tank empty and spin then let it complete the rinse cycle, then go back to wash, this works almost every time. As best that i can recall. I thought when i replaced the switch i check the hose and it checked ok.

sound like the contacts in the timer is bad and i believe i would replace the timer
the part number to the timer is 3955734 and you can get one at a local appliance parts dealer

one more question it has a logic board could this also cause this problem.

i have never see one to cause a problem like this but something new shows up everyday but i really dont think its the board
